The gate pavilion is a community gathering space that invites visitors to experience cinema in an adventurous manner. Hidden in an underground space, the cinema is a crack in the ground, nothing more than a sheep’s gate in a field. The visitors are invited to explore Icelandic cinema through a light show experience in an underground tunnel space leading to the main vocal point of the pavilion – a small cinema space located in the center.
